Since we were late jumping on the “Blog Bandwagon” we have a lot to catch up on, and before we get too far into 2009, we thought we would give you a run down of the last “couple” years. Though the majority of the pictures were taken before we “birthed” Nate’s baby: the Nikon D300,…

In July of 2007, I returned home from my mission in Santiago, Chile. I was greeted with tears and hugs from my amazing family, as well as a shy niece and nephew. Notice their winning smiles? It was good to be home, but adjusting was interesting. I got busy immediately working, remodeling our attic and…

Slam dunkin like Shaquille O’Neal, if he wrote intmioafrve articles.
Nate ventured where certainly no human has ever been before, and most definitely where no missionary should ever go! His motto: Work hard… play harder. He developed an eye for art over the course of his mission. Certainly his talent and passion blossomed during this time. Anyone scared of heights? He certainly was not. More…

Right before Nate returned home from his mission, my family and I, the Morales’, traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica to pick up another honorable missionary, my brother, Andrew. My father was born and raised in Costa Rica and has not been there since 1978 when he returned from his mission. My mother has always…

Very cute, Luisa! Nate expressed the same sentiment when I talked to him. And that is the way it should be. I hope you enjoy a great reunion.

Meet our darling nephew, Cameron [In Spanish, meaning SHRIMP, which also happens to be his favorite food]. Cam the Man is my sister Shannon’s oldest child. The classy Christmas Decor of Mom & Dad Perkes I’m not exactly sure why Nate likes this picture so much. I’m just barely arousing from a deep Sunday afternoon…

The one of Luisa is the best photo, for sure! Course that has nothing to do with your talent as a photographer.

P.S. Glad to see the blog is up and alive!

I saw that you read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. These are my favorite books ever!! When I finished the 3rd there was no fourth and I was seriously devastated. I just love them! So glad you are enjoying your books. Reading is one of my all time favorites. Try "The Pact" by Jodi Picoult and "The Glass Castle" by um….. Jeannette Wells. 2 of my favs.
Thanks for sharing!
And I'm proud of the amount of Shakespeare you have read. Never knew you liked him that much.
Love Wuthering Heights, add Anna Karenina, Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer are ok. If you read those you have to read Becky right after. It's not by Twain but it's really good. Shannon Hale is awesome. She wrote Austenland. That was a fun read. Good luck with all of these. You have quite the daunting task.
